traverse the naval shipyard

Boxy is a 3D platformer created for Sheridan students to practice their level design skills - Boxy: Captain’s Revenge is my take on a functional, clever, and fun pirate platformer level created within the restraints of the design assignment.

The player, ‘Captain Boxy’, must make their way to the end of the level by running, jumping, defeating enemies, avoiding obstacles, grabbing objects, throwing objects, and solving puzzles.

Players will choose their path ahead based on options laid before them in this primarily linear level format.

Creating this project required thinking outside the box and creating fun interactions, such as the pirate rope or barrel toss, using the physics system that is initially meant for more simple mechanics.
